Related Policies

Your use of the Platform is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By using the Platform, you agree that we may process your personal data in accordance with those policies.

1. Use of the Platform

Age Requirement. The Platform is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 years or older. If you are under 18, you must not register without the prior involvement of a parent or legal guardian (see below).

Minors in India. For users in India who are under 18, applicable Indian data protection law requires verifiable parental consent before any personal data is processed. At present, we do not offer a dedicated technical verification mechanism for parental consent and therefore strongly discourage registration by minors. Accounts identified as belonging to minors without verified parental consent may be suspended and associated personal data deleted. In line with applicable law, we do not engage in tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at minors, irrespective of consent.

Minors in Switzerland. Minors must be legally competent under Swiss civil law, or have parental consent for transactions exceeding minor everyday matters.

Self-declaration. During registration, you confirm your age and, if applicable, parental consent through an explicit affirmative action. We rely on this declaration in good faith. Providing false information regarding age or parental consent constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension and refund denial.

Lawful Use. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and login credentials.

2. Enrollment and Access

Upon successful registration and payment, you will receive access to the Young Global Leaders Programme or other courses offered by 2047.academy. Access is granted solely for personal, non-commercial use. Sharing, reselling, or distributing course content or account credentials without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.

3. Payments

  • Processor: All payments are processed via Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway.
  • Currency: Fees are payable in INR. If you pay from abroad, your bank may apply exchange rates or fees.
  • Taxes: Prices are displayed in INR and include applicable taxes (e.g., GST for Indian customers). The total price inclusive of all taxes is shown to you at checkout before payment confirmation, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
  • Service Origin: 2047.academy is a service provider domiciled in Switzerland.
  • Consent: Your consent for any purchase must be expressed through an explicit and affirmative action. We do not use pre-ticked checkboxes.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

At 2047.academy, we are committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences. All payments for course enrollments are final and non-refundable, except in the following circumstances:

4.1 Refund for Deficient Service. If the course content or platform is materially deficient, inaccessible, or substantially different from the description provided at the time of purchase, you are entitled to a full refund. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • course content unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours after access purchase;
  • the course materially differs from its public description on the Platform;
  • advertised features (e.g., certificates, downloadable resources) are not delivered.

We will review such claims promptly and in good faith.

4.2 Technical Issues and Duplicate Payments. In cases of accidental duplicate payment or a verified technical issue preventing access that cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, we will process a full refund upon confirmation of the issue.

4.3 Process. To enable timely resolution, we encourage you to submit refund requests to [email protected] within 7 days of the issue arising, clearly describing the reason. This is a voluntary fast-track window and does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law, which may allow longer periods for claims. Approved refunds will be processed via Razorpay back to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank and payment network.

4.4 Statutory Rights. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law, including Indian and Swiss consumer protection law.

5. Intellectual Property

Our Content. All course materials, including videos, text, graphics, and resources, are the intellectual property of 2047.academy or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without prior written consent.

Your Content. Any content you create or submit on the Platform (e.g., forum posts, quiz responses, project submissions) remains your intellectual property. By submitting content, you grant 2047.academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license, for the duration of platform operation, to use, reproduce, modify (for technical and editorial purposes only), display, and distribute such content for the purpose of:

(i) operating and improving the Platform; (ii) educational use within the Platform community; and (iii) anonymized or aggregated analysis.

Your moral rights as author under applicable Swiss copyright law remain unaffected. We will not use your content for external marketing or promotional purposes without your separate explicit consent.

When participating in discussions, forums, or live sessions, you agree to:

  • show respect and professionalism towards instructors and other learners;
  • abstain from harassment, abusive language, or inappropriate behaviour;
  • not share misleading or false information.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate this Code of Conduct.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

While we are committed to maintaining the quality and accuracy of our course content, we make no guarantees of employment, business success, or personal outcomes from completing the training. Access may occasionally be interrupted due to scheduled maintenance or issues with third-party service providers (such as those listed in our Privacy Policy, e.g., Razorpay, Vimeo, or Google). We are not responsible for service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2047.academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for a course in the last 12 months.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes liability for:

(i) gross negligence or willful misconduct; (ii) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (iii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iv) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory applicable law, including Indian and Swiss consumer protection law and the Swiss law on contractual liability.

9. System Communications

By enrolling, you agree to receive essential system communications such as registration confirmations, password resets, and payment receipts. Marketing emails will only be sent with your explicit consent and can be withdrawn at any time via the one-click unsubscribe link in every marketing email or by contacting [email protected].

10. Account Termination

Termination by you. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. The processing of your personal data following account closure is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Termination by us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, misuse the Platform, or engage in fraudulent activity. Where appropriate and feasible, we will provide prior notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation.

11. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Platform available without interruption but do not guarantee a specific uptime. Scheduled maintenance, updates, or third-party service disruptions may occasionally affect availability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance where reasonably possible.

12. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, internet outages, or third-party service failures.

13. Grievance Redressal

  • Swiss consumers retain their right to bring proceedings at their place of domicile in accordance with applicable Swiss and international law on consumer contracts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the original economic and legal intent.

16. Changes to Terms

Editorial changes (e.g., clarifications, typographical corrections, contact details) may be made at any time and will be reflected in the version number and date below.

Material changes (e.g., changes to fees, refund policy, data processing, scope of services, or limitation of liability) will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before taking effect. For material changes affecting paying customers, continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Where required by law, we will request explicit re-acceptance.
